Well it’s been some time since I’ve updated the blog. So many things have happened in the past months. We have had four guest brewers come in to put their tweak on the brews. First was Erich with contest winning hoppy pale ale, next was Dave with his big ole Scotch ale. One of our servers Lauren came in to learn about the brewing proccess and we brewed up a nice brown ale with cherries, and last was Tim from Seven bridges brewing up a strong belgian gold. Look for the Code Brown and the Golden Rule coming out soon. We will be taking some of the gold and aging it in a chardonnay barrel for about a year, it will be a nice sour style. We are also aging a barleywine and imperial stout blend in a Cab barrel for this years wood aged beer fest at the Bistro.
Big Brew is happening on Saturday mat 1st. The Zymurgeeks will be brewing on our patio. There will be several homebrew rigs out there, from extract to all grain. Come out to learn more about the brewing process and meet other homebrewers and people that just love beer. The brewing will start around 9 and end around 4. There will beer a national toast at 10 to start the beer drinking off.
We are selling Boonville Beerfest tickets in advance. The are $40 cash only at the bar. The fest is on May 8th and it is one beer event not to miss. The tickets will be available until about 5 pm on May 6th, then I head out to Boonville. Hope to see everyone there. Pray for sun.
